White treasures of unspoiled nature. Since 1945.
Company milestones

January 1945
The end of WWII was on the horizon when the company was established in Pomurje, at the existing location. At the beginning, the company’s annual capacity was 9 million litres of milk, which was processed into 368 tons of milk powder, 8 tons of butter and other dairy products.

1965
At the threshold of the Flower Power revolution our productivity began to flourish as well, growing to 990 tons of milk powder and 28 tons of butter. On top of that, we began the production of unsweetened and sweetened condensed milk and drinking milk, we invested into the production of powdered eggs, instant tea and instant coffee.

1975
The Vietnam war ends and the global situation is difficult; nevertheless, our company manages, through investments, to triple the processing of raw milk, modernise the production of milk powder and fermented products, introduce a new baby food production programme and continuous butter production.

From 1975 to 1985
Investments are made into the expansion of warehouses and premises for the packaging of powdered products, into the modernisation of powdered egg production, construction of a boiler house, rationalisation of waste energy and expansion of dehydrated food production, particularly the baby food programme.

1991
Slovenia gains independence, some markets are lost; nevertheless, new market opportunities open up. The company thus invests into the production of sterilised products and begins producing long-life milk, long-life cream, long-life drinks, a milk drink for ice cream preparation and iced tea.

1998
We step on the path of company strengthening, and successfully carry out the acquisition of the Mlekarna Ptuj dairy. We thus gain, in the long run, a larger milk purchase area and larger quantities of raw milk, upgrade our offer with cheeses and increase the marketing potential of the Pomurske mlekarne dairy.

2001
At the turn of the century our efforts focus on becoming the second pillar of the Slovenian dairy industry. We wish to encourage the local economy and, above all, raise the quality of the Pomurje milk. In 2001, we thus buy shares and become the majority owner of the Mlekopromet dairy from Ljutomer. Cottage cheese production and cream cheese and dessert production are also upgraded in the same year.

2002 and 2003
New times call for new improvements; in line with Slovenia’s preparations for EU membership, we invest into warehouse modernisation, sewage reconstruction, a new sterilised product packaging line and the information system.

2004
Slovenia becomes a member of the EU, which brings us a new market, a new environment and, above all, new challenges. In the same year, the acquisition of the Mlekopromet dairy is completed, which strengthens us and puts us in a new competitive position in dairy industry. The end of 2004 sees the beginning of construction of a new cold store, warehouse premises and shop.
